Echoes of Skye

By Book News No Comments

This was taken next to Skye’s Old Man of Storr. It’s not just a rock shaped like a man’s head, but with a deeper perception, it’s the way the clouds, wind and sun all conspired to show me something. He was looking at a small peak I eventually found some solace on to perform a shamanic ritual. The message I heard will be forever ringing in my ears.

Spring – Integrating Old & New

By Book News No Comments

Writing these books is proving to be a time of growth and transformation, not just creatively, but spiritually as well. I’ve always seen the cause of drug addiction as being a spiritual malady or spiritual crisis. So to move forward with the healing process means honouring all of the demons in the shadow-side of my spirit – after all, they set me on this path. As a shaman I’m working with told me recently, Spring is the perfect time for this honouring; where the new light is bright, and the energy renews.

Happy New Year!

By Book News No Comments

I spent last night clean, sober and high as a kite. I remember every second as I danced with my two year old daughter in the kitchen before holding my hand over my baby’s heart as she fell asleep. At midnight I held my wife in my arms and we talked about our bright future together.

I don’t play the lottery anymore because I am already rich with these precious gifts, but more so, because I have decided that there are still bigger dreams yet to be dreamt into being.

Wishing you an awesome 2016.image

Earth Guardians: Book Two

By Book News No Comments

The Scottish Highlands inspire book two of the Earth Guardians Series. I began my research there last year. A trip to the Isle of Skye is next up and while I’m visiting these areas of land for the first time, I do several shamanic journeys to ask for blessings for my sacred visits; gifts to bring the land and tasks I need to undertake while there. That’s the beauty of travelling the Cosmic Web of Life – nowhere is out of reach and life becomes so much more fulfilling. image
